Accredited laboratory for condition assessment and characteristics measurement of radio spectrum and communication radio devices

The Inspection Body for Electrotechnical Devices, Installations and Equipment, which is a part of the Faculty of the Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies in Skopje (FEEIT) was extended with another branch dedicated to wireless communications.

In particular this new branch of the inspection body covers the field of inspection related to condition assessment and characteristics measurement of radio spectrum and communication radio devices.

Two basic measurement and inspection methods were developed providing test procedures for:

• Measurement of radio spectrum
• Measurement of radio device compliance

The equipment for the new inspection body branch is provided by the Wireless Networks Group Laboratory (WinGropup) and consists of cutting-edge spectrum analyzers and precise measurement antennas, all products of Rohde & Schwarz Company. Most of this equipment was obtained within the NATO SfP – 984409 ORCA project ( “Optimization and Rational Use of Wireless Communication Bands”) that successful ended by the end of 2015.
