ORCA Special Session at FABULOUS 2015 conference and last project coordination meeting

In October 2015, the NATO SfP – 984409 ORCA project (“Optimization and Rational Use of Wireless Communication Bands”) ended very successfully after the submission of the final report by the UKIM partner and its full acceptance by the NATO SfP representatives.

UKIM and UPB has successfully organized the last ORCA special session, this time within the EAI FABULOUS 2015 Conference. The special session was entitled as Spectrum Usage: Measurements, modeling, optimization. FABULOUS 2015 conference took place in the beautiful city of Ohrid, from 23rd to 25th of September 2015 in Macedonia.

The ORCA special session took place on 24th of September 2015 and was chaired by the UPB project co-director Prof. Octavia Fratu. The project partners have successfully presented four papers in total, where each paper presentation was followed by several questions from the audience. There were several representatives from the Balkan region industry (e.g. NI - National Instruments) contributing to the fruitful discussion about topics of interest related to the project.

The number of participants during the session has varied between 15 and 20 in total. Below you can find a picture from the ORCA final general meeting, which was collocated with the event.
